Found in north Sumatra in coffee plantationsat elevations around 300 meters as a mini-miniature sized hot growing epiphyte witha short stem carrying a few elliptic, acute, glabrous, fleshy, keeled beneath leaves that blooms in the summer ona more or less sessile, shorter than the leaves, successively single flowered inflorescence carrying fragrant flowers.

Distinguished from C virescens by having a large, wide, orange, double callous on the inside of the midlobe margin.
