Common Name or Meaning The Violet-Blue White Cochleanthes
Flower Size 1 1/2" [3.75 cm]
Found in Colombia and Ecuador at elevations of 30 to 1300 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with no pseudobulbs that has a fan of lanceolate, conduplicate below acute, leaves that blooms in the spring on an axillary, pendant, 2" [5 cm,] long, single flowered inflorescence with a single, tubular below the middle bract.
