Found in Sabah Borneo in hill, lower and upper montane mossy forests at elevations of 900 to 2200 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with slendre, pyriform to cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, linear-oblong to oblong, abruptly acuminate, erect, rigid, strongly plicate,7 nerved, coriaceous, gradually narrowing below into the elongate, deeply grooved, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a 7" [17.5 cm] long, suberect, fractiflex rachis, loosely 5 to 7 flowered inflorescence arwsing on a mature speudobulb and has persistent floral bracts and simultaneously opening, fragrant flowers..
