Common Name The Large Spurred Comparettia

Flower Size 2" [4 cm]

Found in Boyaca, Meta, Cundinamarca and possibly Casanares departments of Colombia on bushes along watercourses, or fruit trees at elevations of 1200 to 2000 meters as a small sized, pendant, cool growing epiphytic species from with very short pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 3 , oblong or oblong-ligulate, obtuse leaves that blooms in the mid-winter on a delicate basal, arching, 14" [35 cm] long, sometimes irregularly branched inflorescence carrying 4 to 8, medium sized flowers.
