Common Name or Meaning The Large Cybebus

Flower Size .16" [4 mm]

Found in Risaralda, Valle de Cauca and Cauca departments of Colombia and western Ecuador in extremely wet marshy areas at elevations around 1500 to 2300 meters as a medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a rosette of basal, fleshy, ovate-elliptical, obtuse, narrowing below into the long channeled, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late fall on an erect, terminal, peduncle provided with a single sheathing bract, to 20" [50 cm] long overall, rachis to 4" [10 cm] long, few flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying large, white, resupinate flowers.
