Found in Madagascar in humid evergreen forests at elevations of 600 to 1500 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial or epiphyte with 1 to 2, very broad leaves that blooms in the winter and spring on a terminal, erect, 2.4 to 4.8" [6 to 12 cm] long, bristly glandular above, dense to subdense, generally more than 10 flowered inflorescence with 2 to 3 caulinar sheaths and lanceolate-linear, equal to or shorter than the ovary floral bract.
