Common Name The Undulate Cyrtochilum

Flower Size 1.6" [4 cm]

Found in Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Peru in cloud forests in dense vegetation in thin soil at elevations of 1500 to 3500 meters as a giant sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial or lithophyte with 2 to 12" between each oblong to ovoid, smooth, subcompressed pseudobulbs enveloped by 2 to 3, imbricate, leaf bearing sheaths and carrying subcoriaceous, carrying oblanceolate to linear-oblanceolate, light to medium green, shallowly grooved above and slightly keeled below into the base leaves that blooms in the summer on a paniculate, 3.4" to 13' 4" [1 to 4 meters] long, twining, flexuous, to 8" [20 cm] between each branch, each branch 8 to 10 flowered, many flowered inflorescence arising on a newly maturing pseudobulb with small, ovate-triangular floral bracts.
