Found in Guangdong Province of China in wetlands within forests at elevations around 500 to 1100 meters as a small to medium sized, warm to cool growing leafless orchid with a cylindrical tuber giving rise to an erect, cylindrical stem provided with 4 clasping sheaths that blooms in the spring on an erect, 8" [20 cm] long, to 2 to 13 flowered inflorescence.
