Found in Papua New Guinea on trees in montane forests at elevations around 1000 meters as a medium to large sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with simple flattened growths carrying many dense, linear, erect to suberect, unequally bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the late spring on a short, single flowered inflorescence and carrying non-resupinate flowers
