Found in Sulawesi in hilly montane forests low down on tree trunks at elevations of 1350 to 1900 meters as a small sized cool growing epiphyte with an erect, narrow, occasionally branching stem carrying spreading, oblong, eventually deciduous, minutely bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the later spring and early summer on an axillary, short, 2 flowered inflorescence arising from the leaf axils towards the apex of the leafy and leafless stem.
