Found in New Guinea in mossy forests at elevations of 1600 to 2300 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing epiphyte or lithophyte with cylindrical, 5 to 8 noded pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 3, coriaceous, suberect, lanceolate, acuminate leaves that blooms in the winter spring and summer on a terminal to subterminal or from node below uppermost leaf, suberect, 2.2 to 3.2" [6 to 8 cm] long, few flowered inflorescence with falcate, lanceolate, acute bracts and carrying small, fleshy flowers.
