Found in the Moluccas and New Guinea in lower montane forests at elevations of 1000 to 1100 meters as a small to large sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with close set, erect to suberect, slender canes carrying several, erect, oblong-ligulate, unequally and obtusely bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the spring and fall on an axillary, racemose, erect, 3.6" [9 cm] long, laxly 3 to 8 flowered inflorescence with oblong, minute, obtuse, shorter than the pedicel floral bracts.
