Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm] wide by 2 to 3" [5 to 7.5 cm] long
Found in Sumatra and Borneo at elevations of 900 to 1350 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with several internoded stems carrying lanceolate, acute to acuminate, narrowing below leaves that blooms in the later summer on an axillary, towards the apex of leafless stems, short, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence.
This is the largest flowered species within SECTION Calcarifera and the small, fimbriate, lamella on the claw of the lip at the junction of the blade is diagnostic for this specis.
