Common Name The Ancient Dendrobium
Flower Size 1.2" [3 cm]
Found in Java at elevations around 790 meters as a medium sized, warm growing epiphyte with yellowish purple, shiny, zig-zag, clustered and slightly compressed stems carrying many, deciduous, lanceolate to linear, unequally bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the spring on a 2" [5 cm] long, laxly to 10 flowered inflorescence
The flowers in the photo above are not fully open and therefore do not show the crisped apical margin which is very apparent in mature flowers.
