Found in Borneo in sand forests at elevations of 900 to 1500 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with rigid, snaky, leafy in the lower 10" [25 cm] becoming rudimentary leafy above stems carrying many oblong-triangular, laterally flattened, fleshy, acute leaves that blooms in the fall on a short, successively single flowered inflorescence arising from the upper leafless portion of the stem
