Dendrobium bifarium Lindl. 1830 SECTION Distichophyllum Hkr.f
LATEEARLY
Common Name The Two Sided Dendrobium
Flower Size 1/2" [1.25 cm]
Found in Thailand, Malaysia, Borneo, Moluccas and Sumatra in lower montane, moss and laurel/oak forests at elevations of 600 to 1800 meters as a small to medium sized, warm growing epiphyte with pendant, thin basally, thicker and fleshier above, leafy stems carrying numerous, lanceolate, apically bilobed, obtuse leaves that blooms in the late winter through early summer on an axillary, very short, single flowered inflorescence
CAUTION An extremely mixed up species. I feel that the first photo by Khamarid [matches Seidenfaden 1992 exactly] is the most correct. The other photos by D Kuehn are most likely either D connatum or another species.
