Found in Malaysia in the Cameron Highlands at elevations of 1500 to 1800 meters as a large sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with stems carrying narrowly linear, basally widest, evenly narrows to apex, acute, basally clasping leaves articulate to the purple flushed leaf sheaths that blooms in the spring, summer and fall from the nodes near the apex of the cane with very short, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence.
