Common Name or Meaning
Flower Size 1 to 1.2" [2.5 to 3 cm]
Found in penninsular Thailand and Malaysia at elevations of sea level to 800 meters as a medium to large sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with elongate, slender stems carrying many closely spaced, deciduous, acuminate, 2 ranked leaves and blooms in the spring, summer and fall on a 1" long inflorescence arising from leafy or leafless stem with 1 to 6 flowers.
The photo above is from a plant from Thailand, plants from Malaysia have more color on the midrib of the lip and have much more undulate margins.
A slight winter rest is required but the plants should not be allowed to dry out too much and a tree fern mount or a well drained medium in a pot should be suitable.
