Common Name The Hairy Lip Dendrobium
Flower Size .4" [1 cm]
Found in Thailand at elevations around 1100 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with slender stems carrying lanceolate, acute to acuminate leaves that blooms in the fall on a very short, single flowered inflorescence that arises from the nodes at the sides of the stem just below the leaves and has shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
This species is very similar to D chittimae and many sources put it as synomonous with D ciliatilabellum which would take precedence but this one is certainly different as it has hairs all over the labellum as well as being in the placed within the Section Pedilonum.
