Common Name The Related Dendrobium [refers to its similarity to D insigne]

Found in the Moluccas at lower elevations as a medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with erect, slender stems carrying many persistent, oblong-ovate leaves that blooms at most any time of the year on an axillary, successively single, 2 flowered inflorescence carrying short lived flowers.
Often cited as a synonym of D insigne but differs in the lack of bristles on the side of the lip as well as much less hair on the lip itself.
