Found in New Guinea at elevations around 500 meters as a medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to simple, slightly compressed, densely leafy stems carrying many patent, glabrous, oblong-ligulate, oblique-acute, unequally bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the fall on an axillary, short, 2 flowered inflorescence.

Schlechter states that the flowers are creamy yellow, the column foot is violet with an orange red spot.
