Found in western New Guinea as a small to medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with an erect, slightly fusiform thickened cane carrying several, oblong, oblong-ovate to lanceolate, spreading, recurved, concave, narrowly obliquely obtuse apically leaves that blooms on an erect to ascending, 12 to 13" [30 to 34 cm] long, 12 to 16 flowered inflorescence with slightly tubular, ovate-triangular, acute floral bracts
