Found in New Guinea on trees in highland forest of the Bismark range at eleavations around 1500 to 2000 meters as a medium sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with elongate, flexuous, glabrous stems carrying many, erect-patent, linear to lanceolate-linear, acute, glabrous leaves that blooms in the fall on short, densely 10 to 20 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate floral bracts.
