Common Name The Fleshy Dendrochilum

Found in penninsular Malaysia on exposed mountain ridges at elevations of 1350 to 2100 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with stout unbranched roots arising from a rhizome free from the substrate and .6 to 1.2" [2 to 3 cm] between each pseudobulb and carrying a single, apical, elliptic, blunt, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on a terminal, 12" [30 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence.
