Found in Sarawak Borneo in lower montane forests at elevations around 1320 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a rhizome giving rise to crowded, ovoid to cylindrical, finely wrinkled in dry state pseudobulbs enveloped by 2 to 3, ovate-elliptic, obtuse to acute, finely nerved, pale brown, with obscure darker brown speckling, soon becoming fibrous cataphylls and carrying a single, apical, narrowly elliptic to oblong-elliptic, constricted below the apex, obtuse and mucronate, thin textured, 5 to 7 main nerved, slender, sulcate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on a gently curving, peduncle filiform, 2 to 3.4" [5 to 8.5 cm] long, provided with 1 to 4, ovate, obtuse to acute bracts, rachis quadrangular, 1.4 to 8" [3.5 to 20 cm] long, lowermost flowers opening last, densely many flowered inflorescence with ovate-oblong, obtuse, mucronate, pale brown, as long to longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying wide opening, stellate flowers without color data.
