Found in Sabah & Sarawak Borneo in mixed hill, lower montane mossy forests on rocks and rocky roadside cuttings at elevations of 1300 to 2000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing lithophyte with an abbreviated rhizome giving rise to crowded clump forming, oblong-elliptic to narrowly fusiform pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, thick, fleshy, sulcate above, curved, 3 nerved, narrowly linear-elliptic, acute, narrowing below into the sulcate petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on a pendulous, shorter than the leaves, peduncle filiform,.4 to 2.8" [1 to 7 cm] long, yellowish green, provided with 1 to 2, ovate-elliptic, acuminate bracts, rachis quadrangular, slightly fractiflex, salmon pink, .24 to .72" [.6 to 1.8 cm] long, laxly 3 to 5 flowered inflorescence with ovate, acuminate, brown, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying flowers with transluscent pink to salmon pink to pale brownish sepals with a darker red to brownish pinkmedian nerve, transluscent pink to salmon pink petals, a basally green lip with white side lobes, awhite to dull yellow mid lobe with the central area red to brownish red, a pink column and a whiote anther cap.
