Dendrochilum aff planiscapum Carr 1935 SUBGENUS Platyclinis SECTION Platyclinis Photo by Shaun KL and Shaun KL and the 17th World orchid Congress photo Website

Part shade Cool ColdFall and LATEWinter

Common Name The Flat Plane Dendrochilum [refers to the flowers being all in one plane]]

Flower Size .4 [1 cm]

Found in Sabah Borneo in lower and upper montane forests at elevations of 1300 to 2400 meters as a small to just medium sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with small, globose pseudobulbs carrying a single, narrowly linear, acute, gradually anrrowing below into the elongate, petiolate base leaf that blooms on an erect, then arching, 8" [20 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with a laterally flattened peduncle carrying non-resupinate, two-ranked flowers

I am not positive with this determination as there are no flower closeups to compare but this overall look is consistent with the drawing and photo in The Orchids of Borneo Wood 1997 and Wood etal 2011.
