Found in the Philippines in mossy forests at elevations around 1600 meters as a small to medium sized, cool growing orchid with erect, small cylindrical, strongly grooved with age pseudobulbs carrying grasslike, terete leaves that blooms in the winter on a loosely, two ranked, many flowered, racemose inflorescence carrying fragrant yellow turning brown in time flowers and glumaceous bracts that almost envelop the flowers
