Found in Borneo near Mt Kinabalu in upper montane forests at elevations of 1500 to 3800 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome giving rise to cylindric, tapering towards the apex, finely wrinkled pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, lanceolate, acute, reticulate nerved, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms at most any time of the year on an erect to gracefully arching, terminal, to 6" [to 15 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence
