Common Name The Very Small Flowered Dendrochilum [smallest of the Borneean species known from this genus]

Flower Size .04" [1mm]

Found in Kalimantan Borneo in lower montane ridge forests at elevations around 1500 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short, branching rhizome giving rise to caespitose, elongate-ovoid, rugulose, brownish yellow pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, narrowly linear, canaliculate-conduplicate apically, shortly acute, rigid coriaceous, 3 main nerved, filiform below into the sulcate petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on an erect to gently curving, filiform peduncle, rachis slender, slightly flexuous, flattened and narrowly sulcate, [4.7 to 5.7 cm] long, laxly many flowered inflorescence with a solitary ovate-elliptic, acute bract and oblong, obtuse, irregularily erose, 3 nerved floral bracts and carrying yellowish flowers with a brownish red center.
