Found in western Sumatra in montane forests at elevations around 1600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a quite long and freely branching rhizome with [1.4 cm] between each narrowly ovoid pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, lanceolate, shortly acute and apiculate, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on an erect, arising from immature pseudobulbs as the leaves arise, peduncle thin, to 3.2" [8 cm] long, rachis zig-zag, quadrangular in cross-section, very sparsely hairy, to 2.8" [7 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence
