Common Name The Tele Dendrochilum [A town in north Sumatra]

Found in north Sumatra at elevations around 1650 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing epiphyte with 1 1/2" [3.75 cm] between each cylindrical, terete, orange, at an acute angle to rhizome pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, lanceolate, suddenly narrowing about 1" [2.5 cm] below the apex, abruptly narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late summer and early fall on a filiform, terete, 3" [7.5 cm] long, rachis ribbed, to 6.8" [17 cm] long, to 55 flowered inflorescence carrying wide open flowers.

Close to D incurvilabium vegetatively but D teleense has an acute dorsal sepal, the petals are not narrowed basally to a claw, the column apical wing is trilobed and the stelids arise from the middle of the column.
