Common Name The Almost Entire Dendrochilum [refers to the mostly unlobed lip]

Found Sabah and Sarawak Borneo in lower montane forests at elevations around 1200 to 1500 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte or terrestrial with a branching, elongate rhizome with 1.6 to 4.8" [4 to 12 cm] between each, narrowly cyllindrical, often at an acute angle to the rhizome, cauliform pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, broadly elliptic to oblong-ellipitc, obtuse, shortly mucronate, sometimes constricted below the apex, coriaceous, 7 to 9 nerved, sulcate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer and fall on an erect to gently curving, peduncle slender, 3.2 to 5.6" [8 to 14 cm] long, rachis quadrangular, 4.6 to 6.4" [12 to 16 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with 1 to 2, ovate-elliptic, acute bracts, oblong to ovate-oblong, obtuse floral bracts and carrying sweetly fragrant flowers.

The growth habit of this species is identical to D longipes.
