Common Name The Tenompok Dendrochilum [An Area near Mt Kinabalu]

Flower Size .24" [6 mm]

Found in Sabah and Sarawak Borneo in lower to upper montane forests at elevations 1500 to 2300 meters as a small to medium sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with small, ovoid, bare pseudobulbs enveloped by imbricating, basal, scarious becoming fibrous sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, narrowly lanceolate, acute, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a terminal, erect, longer than the leaf, to 10" [to 25 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence

Plant size, flower color and shape and length of inflorescence are variable in this species.
