Found in New Guinea at elevations around 300 meters as a medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with a simple, slightly compressed, leafy stem carrying erect-patent, glabrous, oblong-ligulate, unequally and obtusely bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the spring on a lateral, very short, subsessile, 2 flowered inflorescence.
Schlechter states that the flowers are white with an orange-red keel on the lip and an orange red tip to the column foot.
