Found in New Caledonia in rain forests at elevations of 150 to 1250 meters as a small to large sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with clustered, slender, woody, slightly zigzag stems carrying deciduous, spreading to erect, leathery, linear, bilobed leaves that blooms at most any time of the year on several, erect to spreading, racemose, .8 to 1.6" [2 to 4 cm] long, 5 to 20 flowered inflorescence arising on leafy or leafless canes and carry fragrant flowers
