Found in The Andaman Islands, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Sumatra, Java and Borneo in low stature hill forests at elevations of sea level to 1000 meters as a large sized, hot to warm, pendent growing epiphyte with clustered, sometimes branching, lax, pendent, leafy throughout stems carrying many laterally flattened, acute, imbricate, triangular, smaller towards the base leaves that blooms in the late spring on an lateral, short, successively 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence
