Found in western Sumatra at elevations of 1700 to 1900 meters as a giant sized, cool growing epiphyte with an erct stem carrying many, almost linear, gradually narrowing towards the apex, acute leaves that blooms in the winter on an erect, .38 to .56" [.9 to 1.4 cm] long, 3 to 4 flowered inflorescence arising on a leafless stem
