Common Name or Meaning Henderson's Dendrobium

Found in Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Sumatra and Borneo in riverine and hill forests at elevations of 60 to 300 meters as a medium to large sized, hot growing epiphyte with basally terete, then swollen and then, where leafy, slightly laterally flattened, then terete, leafless and slightly flattened stems carrying sessile, oblong to lanceolate, unevenly bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the spring on a very short 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence arising on the leafless portion of the stem.
This species is very similar to D crumenatum in plant morphology and in the flowers.
