Found in New Guinea at elevations around 1000 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to simple, terete stems carrying many, erect-patent, glabrous, reflexed, lanceolate-ligulate, obtuse, apically obtusely bilobed leaves that blooms in the fall on lateral, short, 2 flowered inflorescence.

Schlechter states that the flowers are whitish, the labellum reddish with sulphur yellow towards the apex
