Common Name The Isochilus-Like Dendrobium [refers to the plant habit being like the new world genus Isochilus]

Found in New Guinea, Sulawesi and the Bismark Islands on trees in the coastal plain at elevations of sea level to 600 meters as a medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with densely leafy stems carrying, many linear leaves that blooms in the winter and early spring on a short, single flowered inflorescence.
