Common Name Kauldorum's Dendrobium

Found in eastern Papua New Guinea at elevations of 1800 to 2200 meters as a miniature to medium sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with close set, slightly swollen basally, stout, purple to brown stems enveloped by papery sheaths and carryng, 2 to 3, spreading, green, purple suffused leaves that blooms in the spring on a 8" [20 cm] long, laxly, 3 to 15 flowered inflorescence with long-lasting, nodding flowers.
