Common Name The Lamyaiae Dendrobium [refers to the Lamyai tree or Longans]

Flower Size 2.4" [6 cm]

Found in Laos and Thailand as a miniature sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with very short stems carry to 6 deciduous leaves that blooms in the summer after leaf-fall on short, single flowered inflorescence carrying long lasting flowers.

Very similar to D unicum and D dickasonii but this one differs in having much larger flowers and a narrow lip with a tall central keel

Often spelled D lanyaiae, the correct spelling is D lamyaiae which refers to the tree that it is often associated with, the Lamyai fruit tree, which is also called longans.
