Found in New Guinea at elevations around 900 meters as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to cylindrical stems carrying 2, apical, erect-patent, glabreous, subcoriaceous, elliptic-lanceolate, acute to acuminate leaf that blooms in the later spring on a very short, erect-patent, sublaxly 3 to 5 flowered inflorescence

Schlechter states that the flowers are white, the lip is orange-red veined with red brown.
