Found in the Moluccas, Sulawesi, New Guinea and Queensland Australia in rainforests at elevations of sealevel to 350 meters as a large sized, hot growing epiphyte with an erect, arching to pendent, flattened, elongate, yellowish stem carrying throughout, yelloowish green, leathery, notched, broad leaves that blooms sporadically on axillary, short, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence and carrying hney scented flowers
