Common Name The Mountain Living Dendrobium - In China Zang Nan Shi Hu
Flower Size .6 to 1" [1.5 cm to 2.5 cm]
Found in the eastern Himalayas, Sikkim, Nepal, Bhutan, Thailand and Guanxi and Xizang provinces of China in mountain valleys on rocks at elevations of 1500 to 2300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing lithophyte with clustered, tapering to the apex pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 4, apical, thinly coriaceous, linear-lanceolate, acuminate, apically bilobed leaves that blooms in the summer on a terminal or arising from nodes near the apex, erect, slender, 2 to 6" [5 to 15 cm] long, 3 to 8 flowered inflorescence.
