Found in New Guinea in mist forests in clumps of epiphytic mosses on horizontal tree branches at elevations of 1200 to 3200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with cylindrical,clumping stems carrying 2 to 3, grasslike, linear, rigid, acute leaves that blooms in the spring through fall on a short, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence arising on both leafy and leafless canes.
