Found in Nansei-shoto [Okinawa] Japan and Taidong Taiwan in broad-leaved forests at elevations of 900 to 1200 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with slender, terete, pendulous, cylindric, many noded, yellowish green stems carrying many, towards the upper part, linear-lanceolate, rounded below, acute to obtuse apically leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a short, arising from the uppermost nodes of the stem, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence with 2 to 3, imbricate, ovate-triangular floral bracts.
