Common Name or Meaning The Montane Dendrobium

Found in New Guinea in montane forests at elevations around 2000 meters as a medium sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with crowded, patent, slender, flexuous, branching stems completely enveloped by leaf bearing sheaths and carrying many, erect, lanceolate, apiculate leaves that blooms in the fall on a very short, 1 to 3 flowered, racemose inflorescence arising on older, leafless canes with ovate, much shorter than the pedicel and ovary, apiculate floral bract.
