Common Name The Ovate Dendrobium

Flower Size .6 to .8" [1.5 to 2 cm]

Found in southwestern India in moist-deciduous and semievergreen forests at elevations of 50 to 1520 meters as a mini-miniature to medium sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with elongate, mauve-brown, terete to often stout stems carrying many, deciduous, oblong-lanceolate, alternate, acute leaves that blooms in the fall on a lateral, 6" [15 cm] long, several to many flowered, subcorymbose inflorescence arising from the side or near the apex of the stem with minute, triangular, acute floral bracts. =
